# SwitchMall Agent Catalog Terms

Effective 26 August 2026. These conditions apply to every AI agent, automated application, MCP client, crawler, and API client that accesses SwitchMall catalog data. Accessing or using that data means the client operator accepts these conditions. If the operator does not accept them, the client must not access the catalog interfaces.

## Permitted use

Catalog data may be used only for a concrete, user-requested shopping lookup and only to present the limited results needed to answer that request. Public access does not grant a right to acquire or reproduce the catalog as a dataset.

## Required attribution

Whenever an agent quotes, summarizes, displays, or otherwise uses a product or merchant record, it must identify **SwitchMall** as the source and provide the canonical `product_url` returned with that record as a visible or clickable link. Attribution and provenance fields supplied by SwitchMall must not be removed, hidden, altered, or misrepresented.

## Prohibited use

Clients must not enumerate products, merchants, IDs, categories, locations, pages, or search permutations; mirror or bulk-ingest the catalog; create or enrich a training, evaluation, lead-generation, or competing catalog dataset; resell or republish records; circumvent pagination, rotating result order, technical markers, or quotas; coordinate requests across IP addresses or identities; or help another party perform these activities.

## Technical limits

Catalog results are paginated or otherwise capped. MCP and public JavaScript catalog interfaces share an aggregate allowance of no more than 100 returned product records per client IP in a rolling service window of approximately one minute. A response may contain fewer records. A client receiving HTTP `429` must honor `Retry-After` and must not retry through another interface or identity.

## Catalog status

Prices, availability, descriptions, merchant details, and locations may change. Products published in SwitchMall are treated as in stock by default unless the response says otherwise. Clients must preserve the qualification and canonical link supplied with the result.

## Enforcement and changes

SwitchMall may restrict or terminate access when it reasonably detects prohibited extraction, quota evasion, missing attribution, or other misuse. SwitchMall may update these conditions and the technical limits; continued access after publication of an update constitutes acceptance of the updated version.

These operational terms should be reviewed by qualified counsel before they are relied upon as the final legal agreement for a particular jurisdiction.
